Hillary Interview Ratings Underwhelm on CNN and Fox
Mediaite ^ | 18 Jun 2014 | Matt Wilstein

Hillary Clinton sat down for two heavily-promoted interviews on cable news Tuesday evening, but they did not deliver the blockbuster ratings CNN and Fox News were likely expecting — or at least hoping for.

Clinton’s town hall-style event with Christiane Amanpour was a distant second place at 5 p.m. and dropped to third when it re-aired in primetime at 9 p.m. And while her joint interview with Fox’s Bret Baier and Greta Van Susteren did keep Fox News in first place at 6 and 7 p.m., the numbers paled in comparison to the rest of Fox’s evening lineup.

Beginning with CNN, the 5 p.m. hour averaged 115K viewers in the 25-54 demo and 521K total viewers. That put it barely ahead of MSNBC’s The Ed Show, which had 105K in the demo and 506K total viewers. Meanwhile, Fox’s The Five led the time slot with 336K in the demo and 1.876M total viewers.

When CNN re-aired the interview at 9 p.m. its number increased slightly to 146K in the demo and 593K in the demo. While those were the best ratings CNN had all night, it still put them in third place for the hour behind Fox’s The Kelly File (377K in the demo, 2.126M total) and MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show (168K in the demo, 918K total).

Relatively speaking, things did not look all that much better for Fox. That network split its Clinton interview between the last 15 minutes of Special Report with Bret Baier at 6 p.m. and the first 15 minutes of On the Record with Greta Van Susteren at 7 p.m. The first hour averaged 271K in the demo and 1.779M total viewers, which represented a nearly 20% drop in the demo compared to The Five an hour earlier.

The bottom line is that the Hillary Clinton interviews were not able to move the needle in any significant way for CNN or Fox. A much-hyped, internationally-broadcast town hall event was not enough to lift CNN out of third place in primetime. And it appeared that Fox News viewers were not as eager to see right-leaning anchors confront the potential 2016 Democratic presidential nominee as many would have expected...................Bottom line is that Hillary is history.

The only people who give a shit about Hitlery are the people who stand to reap financial or political rewards if she can stay in the game.

And, the game is OVER!

Her time is past — FINALLY!

Please, can we be finally done with the Clintoons?

If an unknown guy named Hussein from Kenya could take down Hillary in her “prime”, what are her chances for success 8 long years later?

Not good I’d say.

Many people still have old rear-projection televisions - where there is a large mirror that projects the images.

Like she’s going to show up on a mirror.

I’m afraid that this utter failure of a book tour will convince Hillary not to run and give some viable candidate time to marshal the money and machine necessary to win in 2016.

Doubt it.

Hillary will raise tens of millions of $ from her true believer corps, all of it will go into her "campaign fund."

Which means that it will - eventually - go right into her pocket.

No, we cannot be done with the Clintons, at least not in our lifetimes. They shall cast a shadow before themselves for decades before they finally fade for good.

America’s ship of state took a hit when they were at the helm, and is still listing badly, due in part to the rather clumsy stewardship of the Department of State under Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless.

Even now, the gnomes over in the Democrat national headquarters are desperately looking for a substitute for Herself. Unfortunately (for them, not America), they had been painting themselves into a corner for years, by never cultivating at least half a dozen more appealing and acceptable bench warmers, ready for just such a collapse on the part of Herself.

That is because the overwhelming majority of American CITIZENS have absolutely no desire to listen to Hillery LIE to them about everything to their faces, just as the present "liar and chief" has been doing since taking office and turning the White House into the white hut.

No one in their right mind, who knows exactly WHAT Hillery IS wants anything to do with her or to listen to anything she has to say about anything! Why? Because to quote Hillery: "What difference does it make?" Everything she says is a lie!

Besides, Hillery, despite her protests to the contrary, has a HISTORY! We also remember her never-ending scandals while she was "co-president" with Billy. We also remember her stealing the White House silverware (along with everything else that wasn't nailed down when her and Billy boy were on their way out the door. As if all of the scandals of the past were not enough to disqualify her from any public office. To top it all off; Hillery's "crowning achievement: Hillery presided over the wanton murder of the first American Ambassador to be killed (and sodomized) since the 70's! And what did she do to rescue him? What did her Heinous do to save any of the others who were with him? Who were desperately BEGGING the White House and State Department (of which Hillery was solely in charge) to send the military which was ready, willing and able to assist in their rescue and salvation while they were still in the process of being attacked by Muslim terrorists for hours?

NOTHING!

But as her Heinous said in her defense: "What difference does it make?"

Hillary giving an interview is nothing but a bunch of meaningless platitudes. Nobody watches because they know how much content or actual opinions are going to be expressed.

Is she still poor? Pathetic interview. Obama best turn on her before she turns on him because she will do it. She is the biggest liar. She is trying to smooth over all of the wrongs that she did while at the State Department. She is getting away with much cover-ups very easily.

I agree that the USA will suffer the slings and barbs of outrageous fortune for many years for allowing Slick, Hitlery, Ophonybama et al access to the levers of power.

But, I don’t have to suffer in silence! And, I won’t!

I’ll oppose them and their like-minded fellow travelers with every fiber of my being!

We conservatives are at war with the LIEberals, and I intend to do my part to take it to them at every opportunity.

I may not be able to do much, but I can do a little bit to defeat the evil that the LIEberals represent!

I also have some money, some time and some talent, and I intend to use what time, talent and treasure I have to help other conservatives drive a stake through the heart of the LIEberal ideology!

The only "good" thing to come out of Hillary's disastrous book tour is the new campaign cry: "Another Clinton administration? Are you nuts."(Cackle) Will look nice on a bumper sticker.

===============================================

Even more delicious is that Hillary's disastrous book roll-out was managed by Dudester Tommy Vietor---Obama's van-driver with ntl security clearance who Obama appointed his NSA advisor; Vietor sat in on WH Situation Room crisis meetings.

Feel safer, now, America?

DUDESTER VIETOR offered up a truly laughable assesment of Hillary''s hellish book tour. “The Secretary enjoyed spending this week talking about 'Hard Choices' and working with President Obama to restore America’s leadership in the world,” he said in an email. “She’ll continue to be relaxed, candid and direct.”

Must be auditioning for a SNL job--producing comical skits.

============================================

JUST A REMINDER---"MEDIA MESSAGING" IS WHAT DUDESTER VIETOR DOES FOR A LIVING

FENWAYSTRATEGIES.COM

FENWAY MOTTO "Tell a story they'll never forget..."

WHAT WE DO ---- For the past ten years, we worked directly with two of the most successful communicators in history, Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Our experience taught us that none of the groundbreaking technologies at our disposal make much of a difference unless they are used to tell a story that is simple, memorable, and authentic. Whether you run a campaign, company, or foundation, we help you escape the daily grind and develop a message that breaks through the clutter of today's media environment, distinguishes your organization from the competition, and sticks with your audience in a way they'll never forget.

Message Development---Fenway will conduct an extensive audit of all internal and external communications, then work with you to identify the essence of your message, sharpen and simplify your story, and instill the discipline to ensure it's succinctly and consistently communicated at every level of your organization and to every intended audience. Currently, we're conducting top-to-bottom message development for one of America's largest healthcare providers and one of the world's largest philanthropic foundations.

Speechwriting----Since Jon Favreau's departure as President Obama's chief speechwriter of eight years, the team at Fenway has crafted remarks for some of the world's most famous CEOs, philanthropists, celebrities, and government officials. Our approach to speechwriting is hands-on, personal, and collaborative, working directly with you to identify your core story, conducting the extensive research that brings a speech to life, drafting remarks from start to finish, and revising the speech until you're happy and confident with the final product.

Media Strategy----We will help you navigate an increasingly noisy, fractured media environment by connecting you with journalists, advising you on the timing and pitching of announcements, and employing the necessary strategies to ensure that your message breaks through. Tommy Vietor helped craft the media strategy that catapulted Barack Obama from longshot to victor in the Iowa Caucuses, and helped manage global national security crises at the White House. Today, Fenway is doing the same for a national environmental campaign, a national service organization, and one of the fastest-growing technology start-ups in the world.

Media Training---We will help you go into any interview or speech with the confidence to impress, inspire, and make your message stick. Our media training sessions go beyond well-known tips and tactics to focus on the actual content of what you want to communicate. We help you improve speech delivery by improving the speech itself, and sharpen your answers in an interview by working with you to craft memorable sound bites to even the most hostile questions. We've prepared presidents, cabinet officials, ambassadors, and business executives for their public appearances, and we can do the same for you.

Digital Strategy---In today's hyper-connected world, one-way communication only goes so far. Your story should be told in a way that makes your audience want to tweet it, post it, and share it with everyone they know. An effective digital strategy blends sound message development with a sophisticated understanding of social media, and our team does both. In addition to our experience creating Barack Obama's history-making online presence, Fenway is helping an investment portfolio and technology company set themselves apart online.

Relationship Development---Through our work with some of the most successful and interesting communicators in the fields of politics, business, philanthropy, sports, and entertainment, we can help introduce you to potential clients, customers, and partners who can multiply your organization's success and broaden its reach.
