Hillary Clinton sat down for two heavily-promoted interviews on cable news Tuesday evening, but they did not deliver the blockbuster ratings CNN and Fox News were likely expecting or at least hoping for.
Clintons town hall-style event with Christiane Amanpour was a distant second place at 5 p.m. and dropped to third when it re-aired in primetime at 9 p.m. And while her joint interview with Foxs Bret Baier and Greta Van Susteren did keep Fox News in first place at 6 and 7 p.m., the numbers paled in comparison to the rest of Foxs evening lineup.
Beginning with CNN, the 5 p.m. hour averaged 115K viewers in the 25-54 demo and 521K total viewers. That put it barely ahead of MSNBCs The Ed Show, which had 105K in the demo and 506K total viewers. Meanwhile, Foxs The Five led the time slot with 336K in the demo and 1.876M total viewers.
When CNN re-aired the interview at 9 p.m. its number increased slightly to 146K in the demo and 593K in the demo. While those were the best ratings CNN had all night, it still put them in third place for the hour behind Foxs The Kelly File (377K in the demo, 2.126M total) and MSNBCs The Rachel Maddow Show (168K in the demo, 918K total).
Relatively speaking, things did not look all that much better for Fox. That network split its Clinton interview between the last 15 minutes of Special Report with Bret Baier at 6 p.m. and the first 15 minutes of On the Record with Greta Van Susteren at 7 p.m. The first hour averaged 271K in the demo and 1.779M total viewers, which represented a nearly 20% drop in the demo compared to The Five an hour earlier.

I just heard Mark Levin say the ratings tanked when Hillary was on. lol!
Goodbye Hillary, hello Pocahontas.
She so brilllliant, nous everything, faaast talking talkabout.
The only people who give a shit about Hitlery are the people who stand to reap financial or political rewards if she can stay in the game.
And, the game is OVER!
Her time is past — FINALLY!
Please, can we be finally done with the Clintoons?
Makes by day!!!
Hillary and Bill are fossils from a bygone era of the high flying 90’s.
Most folks I know are sickened by the sight of her.
I change the channel when her visage appears.
If an unknown guy named Hussein from Kenya could take down Hillary in her “prime”, what are her chances for success 8 long years later?
Not good I’d say.
Tho old, fat, cankled, lesbo is unfit for dog catcher.
Past prime, reached her expiration date,
Many people still have old rear-projection televisions - where there is a large mirror that projects the images.
Like she’s going to show up on a mirror.
Yeah, but she’s got “rear projection” down pretty good.
I’m afraid that this utter failure of a book tour will convince Hillary not to run and give some viable candidate time to marshal the money and machine necessary to win in 2016.
Hillary will raise tens of millions of $ from her true believer corps, all of it will go into her "campaign fund."
Which means that it will - eventually - go right into her pocket.
“Please, can we be finally done with the Clintoons?”
Ditto for the Booshes!
No, we cannot be done with the Clintons, at least not in our lifetimes. They shall cast a shadow before themselves for decades before they finally fade for good.
America’s ship of state took a hit when they were at the helm, and is still listing badly, due in part to the rather clumsy stewardship of the Department of State under Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless.
Even now, the gnomes over in the Democrat national headquarters are desperately looking for a substitute for Herself. Unfortunately (for them, not America), they had been painting themselves into a corner for years, by never cultivating at least half a dozen more appealing and acceptable bench warmers, ready for just such a collapse on the part of Herself.
She comes across as old, tired and duplicitous. Not a winning combination. I’m waiting for the Dem pundits to start bandying Andrew Cuomo’s name around.
