It's all about Money and Power.
When you have money and power you can have anything you want with little effort.
Those 'things' then have no value to you. You are jaded quickly and must have something 'else'.
Women who will throw themselves at you are a dime a dozen. So what do you do to satisfy your lust ?
Mankind is known to desire especially that which is forbidden. The most powerful desire the most forbidden.
I think it may have something to do with the god they worship.
