“and shall protect each of them against invasion;”

From my reading the context of your points presented are merely opinions from my reading as it related to internal squabbles between the States in regard to the 10th amendment. It is an enumerated power and responsibility to protect ALL states from FOREIGN invasion. I guarantee you the Feds and USSC will also press against States Rights just as they did in Arizona, my adoptive home State.

The key word in the Constitution is shall. I am not at all against my native born State from acting in its own best interests. I am just pointing out it is the Republic’s responsibility of the Federation to enforce and protect the states as a whole from any invasion, be it passive, willing or with violence (militaristic).

Does Perry have the “jewels” to press this issue while at the same time exercising his authority at call up the NG as is regularly done in cases of local calamities such as natural disaters? I say no because of his comments in New York when asked about this earlier this week on Fox and Friends and he said that Texas does not have the resources.

He got called on it in a big way in the conservative ranks and then he starts this stupid business? Where are these “surge” resources that were not there the day before? Just more political posturing by a man who admittedly will not do his homework.

Nobody except for a handful will call out this despot, who calls himself our President, because they are too friggin afraid of what the media will say about them, worried about what their closet will bare or they are all just a big collection of Ruling Class despot wannabe’s who are just itching to get their hands back on the wheel with all of these new powers Obama delegated to himself and willingly acquiesced to by being silent.

I instead look at this, and many more issues we are dealing with today, as did Admiral Farragut when he entered Mobile Bay. But in large, those days are gone to virtually all of the citizenry of this once great country because even when leaders like Ted Cruz come out and yells “Follow Me”, most cannot be disrupted from pecking away at their cell phones or the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars.

It is an enumerated power

IF it IS an 'enumerated power', then SHOW ME where it is enumerated in the Constitution.

§ 207. XIII. Another rule of interpretation deserves consideration in regard to the constitution. There are certain maxims, which have found their way, not only into judicial discussions, but into the business of common life, as founded in common sense, and common convenience. Thus, it is often said, that in an instrument a specification of particulars is an exclusion of generals; or the expression of one thing is the exclusion of another. Lord Bacon's remark, "that, as exception strengthens the force of a law in cases not excepted, so enumeration weakens it in cases not enumerated," has been perpetually referred to, as a fine illustration.

and responsibility to protect ALL states from FOREIGN invasion.

I give you the first four legal treatise written after Constitutional Ratification by men known to be involved in Constitutional law and judgments to prove the federal government cannot act without the States approval and all I get is blah, blah, blah...you're wrong?

LOL! I'm not buyin' what you're sellin' there, buddy. There is a REASON the Founders didn't put that clause under Article I, Powers of Congress, but under Article IV... the STATES.

BTW - since you can't get your Constitutional authority straight, I'll not bother wading through the rest of that blather in your post.
