This is absurd and sad. What kind of person would file charges because a kid fell off a scooter? We have become a lawyerville police state where people believe the Judge Judy show is how we should live our lives.

cops and justice so overwhelmed that they can't run routine DNA tests for rape kits and they can't keep convicts in prison and they can't keep probation officiers on top of their clients, yet we can arrest a mother and citizen because the kid didn't wear a helmet?....

like all good nazi's....laws are enforced by whim and will.......

-——police believed they had enough probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for the boys’ mother,-——

The Judge who issued the warrant should be impeached or if elected hounded out of office....

Keep ‘em indoors in front of the DVD player or some nice safe video games. Condition them to receive their life instructions from someone over a video screen and to fear the outdoors.

Children are sent across the border from Mexico, and they as well as their parents are considered brave heroes by the government.

An American kid falls off a scooter (sans helmet), and the mother is a irresponsible, dangerous criminal.

I just hope none of these folks ever come into our cul de sac. We have 15 little boys under the age of 9 who play outside all day and ride bikes, scooters, pedal cars, roller skates, jump off of ramps they made on a skateboard, etc. None of them wear helmets, knee pads or any type of protective gear. There is also always someone playing basketball or a couple tossing a football around. Sometimes they crash but you never ever hear any of them cry except for one little three year old who definitely does not like to share the new electric golf cart his grandparents bought him for his birthday.

We can be sure that the boy will appreciate his life of homelessness after the officious robberies committed against his parents. Years later, he’ll be the “homeless male” spotted within a few miles of the scene of some crime. He’ll be one less individual perceived as social competition by the political regulator folks.

1. the world criminalizes normality. kids fall down. kids that are learning to do something and/or doing something a little risky, are’going to sometimes fall.

2. do not call the cops for help. she’s lucky they didn’t shoot up her house and pets, or even her or her kid.

Back when I was a kid, late 60s-mid 70s, it was pretty common for a half dozen of us to walk through the neighborhood with our BB and pellet guns to go to the abandoned gravel plant. There we would shot up whatever we found, and then go back to the neighborhood to play pick up basketball or football.

Can you imagine if that happened today?

If it was like this when I grew up, my mother and the parents of every kid I knew would have been jailed.

I raised my 5 kids in the 60s and 70s. The neighborhood was loaded with kids.

Everyone of us would be doing life terms if this kind of nonsense was around then.

Unfortunately, this sort of insanity is all too common these days among large numbers of professional busybodies.
