I think I disagree. Instead of a 2 year shootout, conservatives should decide early on a candidate and back him/her all the way. In 2012 we hurt ourselves with the debate franchises. I say get behind Cruz, or Palin(if She is serious), or Walker and beat a drumbeat to the American sheeple that we will not have a nation for long if they continue to vote for democrats. This party hates God, family, free enterprise, the military, amongst a host of other things. They must be stopped if we are to keep the Visogoths outside our gates!

Actually, I support early coalescing around a common candidate as well.

But we also need to see how candidates perform on the Presidential nomination stage. Being a winning nominee isn’t just about stances on issues, it’s also about performing as a candidate and building an effective political organization.

It’s more of an art than a science, but I think that the coalescing needs to happen right after the South Carolina primary.
