Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) on Friday implied that by continuing to push for answers on Benghazi and the IRS, Republicans are promoting conspiracy theories that should be as easy to dismiss as questions about whether the government is keeping space aliens in cold storage.
Doggett was one of several Democrats who defended IRS Commissioner John Koskinen from what they say as Republican attacks against the IRS at a Friday hearing. When it was Doggetts turn to speak, he asked Koskinen a series of questions dealing with the seriousness of the hearing.
doggett
His odd, rapid-fire questions to Koskinen seemed to imply that GOP questions on these issues are not serious, and are only meant for public consumption (you can watch the video here.)
Have you ever been in Benghazi? Doggett started.
No, Koskinen replied.
Do you know if you or Ms. [Lois] Lerner have ever had any responsibility for anything having to do with Benghazi and our embassy there?
No.
Doggetts didnt specify what aspect of the Benghazi attack, which resulted in the death of four U.S. officials, he sees as a conspiracy. However, Republicans have said the Obama administration didnt do enough to try to save the U.S. officials, and then purposefully misled the country about the cause of the attack in the first few days. Democrats have dismissed these charges as an attempt to hurt Democrats politically.
Doggett then pressed on to see if Koskinen was involved in other conspiracy theories.
How about Area 51 out in Roswell, New Mexico, where all those space aliens allegedly came? Have you ever had any responsibility for that?
No, Koskinen replied, without clarifying further whether he believed aliens were being held in New Mexico.

It was a mistake to let any Rats serve on the committee.
Does this mean that the next Democrat president is going to ask to see the secret files on the IRS scandal?
When I lead the charge against a corrupt home owners association, this is pretty much how they behaved. No facts, no argument rebuttals, just attack and ridicule, because they had nothing else.
And every charge we made proved to be true in the end.
Lloyd Doggett shows the stain on Texas.
Proves “keep Austin weird.”
The RATS’ reaction to Benghazi and IRS scandals should give any clear-thinking American the realization that the RATS are in the same enemy camp with ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other entities that want to harm America.
Hopefully there are clear-thinking Americans among the congress critters.
It’s the “gaslighting” tactic.
“Don’t believe your own eyes-—you’re crazy!”
Watch this amazing short Bill Whittle video to understand this tactic.

What does that mean Gaslighting?
Well, heres a definition thats as good as any: Gaslighting is a form of mental abuse in which false information is presented with the intent of making a victim doubt his or her own memory, perception and sanity.
Unquote.
Its a great term. It comes from a movie called Gaslight, most notably the 1944 version starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. The plot centers around a man trying to drive his wife insane by insisting that the things she repeatedly sees and hears Simply. Didnt. Happen. He removes paintings and tells her he saw her take them. He asks her why she doesnt remember things he claims he has told her before.
Well, lets hustle through a few examples.
March, 2012: President Obama was having what he thought was a private conversation with outgoing Russian President Dmitry Med-VEH-dev But someone left the microphone on. President Obama said hed basically be willing to hand over our missile defense system developed over decades and at great expense to protect us and our NATO allies so long as the Russians didnt act up and give him any trouble before he could be safely re-elected.
Doggett
so there are! space aliens in cold storage. I knew it!
Sorry that. The dog ate my email and hard drive excuse makes the democrats and White House look filthy dirty.
They call him Lloyd Dogsh*t here in Texas. Can’t believe he was re-elected.
