Because you really don’t have it both ways while being transparently dishonest.
The American people will see very quickly how stupid and negligent this is, if indeed it is true that chemical warfare apparatus was left for future ‘insurgents’ to find and use.
But I guess we can always pretend that it was a smart and strategic move on our part.
