About a month ago I was in the restroom at a local mall. I picked up some paper in the area by the sinks and put it into the trash. While doing that task, I mentioned to a black woman in the room, “I do not understand why women are so messy with their paper towels and miss the trash can and never bother to pick the towel up and put them into the bin.”
Her response was this, “I know. Last week a woman came into the bathroom and proceeded to defecate on the floor next to the toilet. Then walked away and we had to clean it up.”
So this lady was an employee, and had to clean up that mess. She was shaking her head when she told me.
Since I live in the upper Midwest this was a new sort of wrinkle to me.

The guy I mentioned in post #104 was in the Air Force as a liaison between us and other middle Eastern types (spoke fluent Farsi and Arabic). Said that many times he’d go to the mens room and see one of them in an open door stall squatting on the toilet seat and had to explain to him that you SIT on it, not SQUAT - the aim was much better.
It can get worse, at least it was just on the floor. Why I have no idea and it’s disgusting beyond belief, but some will smear it on the walls with their fingers. I think they like the idea of making someone else clean it up. You gain a strong appreciation for tile, bleach, a drain in the floor and a high pressure hose when you’re responsible for a public restroom. I managed a large pool for several summers. They’d do it in the pool itself, too. People are pigs in general, but certain groups take it to an entirely different level.
