In the state of Georgia...
you do not need a permit or license to carry a long gun.
To carry a handgun, either openly or concealed,
you must have a “Georgia Weapons Carry License”.
The following exemptions do not require a “Georgia Weapons Carry License”:
...you may carry a handgun...
... while you are actively engaged in hunting, fishing or sport shooting.
... are on your own property, your own home, motor vehicle, or place of business.
... are in any private motor vehicle, if it is unloaded and enclosed inside a case,
and the vehicle owner has not forbid the possession of a weapon.
Georgia has reciprocity with Colorado, which as I understand it means that
if you come here, or if I go there, we have to abide by each other’s rules.
(disclaimer: the laws are complex, and I am not a lawdog)

I can carry openly when I want, and I do. Wouldn't care to in Denver or Boulder, cops might kill me there. Don't want their permission slip to hide it, so I just hide it if I have to go such places. Democrats live there.
