I am gonna guess that the late Rev. Mr. D. James Kennedy belonged to some Presbyterian Church that was not PC-USA. Dr. Kennedy worked tirelessly to bring people to Jesus Christ and to be a good pastor to them.
Yes, Dr. Kennedy was in the vanguard of the PCA, the Presbyterian Church of America.
