Baloney. The Bush administration revealed its rank incompetence when it allowed the new Iraqi government to adopt a constitution in 2005
in which Islam was established as the official state religion.
Someone would have to be retarded to expect a country to survive under those governing conditions with all the religious/ethnic divisions among Sunni, Shi'ite and Kurdish groups.

It allowed? The Bush administration didn’t have a final say and could not command they take a different approach. Sure, they could and DID attempt to influence them away from that stance but they couldn’t force it.
