Look, you are an idiot and/or don’t actively trade the market if you don’t understand that news about Soros can effect a particular market.
If a hedge fund is wrapped up in some currency swap that involves Something Soros is heavily into - it has the potential to at least have a short term influence. A hedge fund can get itself blown up especially if dealing with something as volatile as Gold. Rumors are that one just recently blew itself up over Gold

But keep on spreading rumors. I mean after all the hot rumor really took down the market. Jobs numbers (or lack of them) and company profit reports and the failing of the US dollar as a general market currency obviously don’t have nearly as much effect on the markets as George does.
