The fact is, approximately 40 percent of people polled are liberal, 20 percent are middle, and 40 percent are conservative.
During each election, no more thatn 50 percent of eligible voters participate.

Hen you break that down, if there were 100 vote-eligible people, only 50 would vote...20 vote liberal/democrat, 20 vote conservative/Republican, and 10 middle vote whatever way they want...usually liberal

So, if the Republicans put up a candidate that motivates ALL of the conservatives, the votes would be 20 lib/dem, 10 mid/dem, 40 conservative/repub. The conservative would win even if all of the mids voted dem.

By abandoning the conservatives, the repubs will lose. How they do not see this, I cannot understand.
