Expect More Fireworks At Tonight's Prime-time Oversight Hearing on IRS Obstruction

Tonight at 7:00 Eastern the House Oversight Committee will have their shot at getting answers from IRS Commissioner John Koskinen on the destruction of two years of key IRS emails at a hearing entitled, “IRS Obstruction: Lois Lerner’s Missing Emails.”

I expect even more fireworks tonight than there was at the House Ways and Means Committee hearing on Friday, given the latest developments on the IRS scandal that came to light over the weekend.

On Friday afternoon, it was discovered that the IRS used email back-up company, Sonasoft, a small Silicon Valley company with connections to Obama.

The Daily Caller reported on Sunday that the IRS canceled their contract with Sonasoft just weeks after Lerner’s computer crashed and shortly before other IRS officials’ computers allegedly crashed.

the GOP needs to get serious and get a federal grand jury empaneled. this committee theater bullshit is getting old and produces nothing.

Agree. Issa is an ars and Lerner should be in jail for contempt. His failure to do this proves he is an incompetent jackass and nothing will come out of this. Like a chess game, the communists Democrats are one step ahead and will check mate soon.

I think Issa is under orders of the drunk of the house, to not push forward to arresting anyone.

Only $30 million to upgrade email system for 90,000 employees? That is only about $300 per employee. How much are those employees spending printing all those emails and what is the cost of storing all of that paper? Each employee is likely spending well more than $10/day in time, paper and ink, which amounts to about $300 million in one year alone!

Well said. I agree. The showboating needs to end and people need to start being arrested.
