A committee of Massachusetts lawmakers rejected a bill Monday that would have granted driver's licenses to illegal immigrants, leaving another crop of gubernatorial candidates to debate the hot-button issue before the November elections.

You can’t help but wonder, if such an accomplishment is possible in Massachusetts, one of the most liberal of states where Republicans are outnumbered in the legislature 163-37, why has Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives not managed to move even the most obvious pro-immigration enforcement bills that have passed the House Judiciary Committee?
This was in 2012 when they could have made it an election issue. Obviously it is stupid to pass immigration bills now with the Senate ready to go to conference any time on amnesty.
