Seeking to mobilize a global front against anti-gay violence and discrimination, Vice President Joe Biden declared Tuesday that protecting gay rights is a defining mark of a civilized nation and must trump national cultures and social traditions.
Biden told a gathering of U.S. and international gay rights advocates that President Barack Obama has directed that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender men and women around the world
"I don't care what your culture is," Biden told about 100 guests at the Naval Observatory's vice presidential mansion. "Inhumanity is inhumanity is inhumanity. Prejudice is prejudice is prejudice."
With anti-gay laws taking root in nearly 80 countries, Biden and other top White House officials met with religious, human rights and HIV health care advocates in a forum dedicated to promoting gay rights internationally.
Biden, who has emerged as a leading gay rights advocate within the Obama administration ever since he got ahead of Obama in declaring his support for gay marriage, said that across U.S government agencies officials have been instructed to make the promotion of gay rights abroad a priority.

You should be -- as you should be in the cases of drunk driving and wife-beating. There is no way homosexuality is a good thing in any absolute sense, considered by itself. Same as alcoholism, smoking, and other addictions.
Moreover, the majority of male homosexuals and almost all lesbians are "turned out" as teens by adult homosexuals who unforgivably and unbelievably selfishly break the law and all human decency to get to the kids while they're still "gettable", before their sexual identities have firmed up.
There are some "essential" gays -- born gay, and hard-wired -- and even a few lesbians like that. But essentially gay males don't rise much above 30%, and essentially lesbian women are a tiny minority (ALL lesbians are maybe 1% of the female population).
I think they’re all in a circle jerk.
I wasn’t born until 1944 but my parents dealt with the thirties and I grew up hearing about it. Of course things were not roses and clover when I was a lad either but I feel CERTAIN that in reality things now are worse than in the thirties. One primary reason is as you mention we still had real money then. Secondly those people had survival skills that most of us can only dream about. Thirdly, there was not nearly the density of population, someone who had the skills could obtain access to land to fish, hunt and grow food. A lot of people now don’t even have a way to get out of the city. Fourthly there were not so many who would kill you in a flash for a pound of bread. People were not nearly so afraid of each other as now. There was no threat of invasion by insane lunatics from other countries.
I'd say that protecting HUMAN rights (like children from the horrors of infanticide) is a defining mark of a civilized nation.
FUJB and your homofascist army.
Can you provide a short list? I've not heard this. Other than Ancient Rome.
Alexander the Great and his sons the Ptolemys. Edward I of England was such famous tyrant... and I will not go over the terrorism history of China and Islam as well as Japan’s Samurai.
And of course all the closet gays aka communists. Lenin was for abortion. All this materlist stuff is rife with it.
LOL!
Who is more ‘stoopid’? Biden or Pelosi?
