Disappointing that Dr Sowell would say this.

Well I’m down with what Tuco said in that movie, He said, “Hey blondie.....”. No, that’s not the line. It was in the bath tub scene....what was it?

Dang, just read it this morning.

Our Constitution does not provide for a “no confidence” vote such as those common in parliamentary democracies. So any such vote would be largely symbolic and not binding. Not to diminish the value of symbols. They can be powerful tools to effect change. But legally they carry no weight.

Public opinion hasn’t seemed to affect Clinton’s impeachment by any means...

How do you know that? We got 8 years of a Republican administration after Clinton.

It's not about a parliamentary-defined event, IronJack. It's about making such a strong statement that it would by its nature undermine the tyrant. Symbolic? Well, yes and no. Nobody has ever before told a sitting president, formally, that he is on such thin ice that he is facing removal and arrest.

Failing that, I'd like to see him refused entry to a state on the grounds he has been declared “persona non grata.” Has been declared a traitor in the great state of (fill in the blank). Has an arrest warrant in (name state) with his alleged name and 5 or 6 aka’s on it.

The media liars could ignore it a few minutes, then Alinsky it, but the story goes viral despite them.

We are not as helpless as it may seem.

It’s a nice theory. But I think you’ll need a bigger hammer to dislodge these grifters.

>> What’s the worst he could do?

Arm our enemies, facilitate invasion, cripple us economically... trivial things like that.

All things he has done and is doing.

Dr. Sowell tends to be a practical-ist at the expense of principle sometimes. Nothing wrong with counting the cost and considering the practicalities of a point of action, but sometimes you die on principle, or you get killed anyway.

Michelle Bachman simply recommends defunding the executive branch. I like that idea, too.
