The First Daughter is checking out colleges in the Bay Area.
Another Democratic president, another daughter educated in the Bay Area?
Malia Obama, the oldest daughter of President Barack Obama, is about to turn 16 and is looking at colleges -- and she's looking at the best the Bay has to offer, according to reports.
A "source" tells the San Francisco Chronicle that Malia toured the campus of the University of California Berkeley recently.
Malia is already West Coasting, working as a production assistant on a television show in Los Angeles.
Apparently, she also visited Stanford, the alma mater of Chelsea Clinton, another well-known first daughter.
Officials at both schools declined to comment, but Malia supposedly liked what she saw at Berkeley.

Making $100,000.00 for doing very little, in the meantime how much does it cost the tax payer for the security guards and what was the cost for her to be flown there at the tax payers expense?
The key point here is: Obama got his butt licking Hollywooders, the ones he flies here on Air Force one and countless military copters to see and scrape for cash, to hire her as a production assistant.
Something mortals find hard to do.
The truth is, if she were great at that job, she could work her way up in the ranks, making college wholly unnecessary. THAT is the hard part. Your kids probably can’t get their foot in the door in Hollywood.
The communist colleges. Figures.
All she will have to do is put her name on the application and she is in. Does anyone believe otherwise? No school wants to be harassed by the IRS goons for not letting the princesses in.

Momma and Daddy went to elitist Ivy League private schools. Doubtfully the girls will go to a state university like Berkeley.
She wasn’t interested in that type internship this summer.
This week she is a teen leader at a local Vacation Bible School, then she will do 2 weeks as a volunteer leader for Governor’s School before she does 2 more weeks at 2 more VBSes.
In between she is also designing and making dream catchers and painted window hangings for sale, has lined up a local store and a restaurant to sell produce we’re growing, and has 3 pet feeding jobs lined up.
All that bragging aside (yes I am a proud mom) I totally understand the dripping sarcasm in your comment.
(P.S. She and I are doing the food for social/fellowship time after Sunday service this Sunday. She chose the menu because it is also for her birthday. We’re making California sushi rolls, tuna salad and ham salad tea sandwiches, 3 types of roll ups (1 red, 1 white, and 1 blue) and dessert is going to be red velvet mini cupcakes that when frosted and plated will resemble the American flag!)

Why burn the time, Stanford? Just give her a degree summa cum laude for surviving this long with those two losers as parents!

I thought nah, not hard, upon reading your post, and then noted the affirmative action part. One of my daughters graduated from UC Berkeley. She said all you have to do is breathe and show up and you'll graduate. But then again, she's not black and got in on her own merits. Graduated just as she turned 21, and worked part time until she graduated; then worked full time. She was aware of the affirmative action folks who spent many years there and were no where close to graduating.
I doubt she’ll attend Stanford, the stomping grounds of Condoleeza Rice and Thomas Sowell.
The People’s Republic of Berkeley would probably be a better fit considering the influence from her parents.
One needn’t ask where they learned that ‘angry bitch’ look.
