North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory, a Republican, has signed legislation that will explicitly allow students in public schools across the state to engage in voluntary student-led prayer.
The new law permits students to create religious clubs and coordinate prayer groups, reports North Carolina Fox affiliate WGHP.
The three-page law also allows students to pray by themselves or in groups aloud or silently in exactly the same way they can discuss or think silently about any other issue.

But, I guess this was passed to give explicit permission--of course, even if a court says no, kids can and should pray anyway. And mention God. :)
I used to live in North Carolina... it’s becoming a Progressive cesspool. This is going to cause about 40% of the state to commit suicide.
How far we’ve fallen. In my public school we used to pray.
Reading a little of Scalia’s comments on the Abortion clinics ruling, I guess there could be a freedom of speech issue/problem ironically set in this
First Amendment probably provides for them to be able to pray in school already.

This isn’t 1965 so, uncertainty exists as to the list of who these students will be praying to?
