‘Employee Of The Year’ Postal Inspector Charged With Stealing Passports, Pills, (edit)

A U.S. postal inspector and 2012 Federal Employee of the Year award recipient probably won’t be getting a trophy for his latest noteworthy achievement, as he stands accused of stealing pills, jewelry, passports, Playboy magazines, knives, marijuana, and an autographed Joan Rivers collectible from the mail he was entrusted to protect.

Unlike previous postal pilferers that we’ve featured on the site who did their thieving in secret, this 52-year-old was apparently making little effort to cover his alleged theft.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, he directed his employees at a San Jose, CA, processing and distribution center to alert him whenever things like collectibles, cash, drugs, electronics, jewelry, rare coins, precious metals and other memorabilia were found loose in the mail.

Two answers:

1. He stole the election, too.

2. He didn’t steal as much as everyone else.

Is Federal Employee of the Year like getting a bonus at the VA? Everyone can be Employee of the Year for a bare minimum of work.

...and an autographed Joan Rivers collectible...

Why would a Joan Rivers ANYTHING be considered a collectible?

Whats interesting is that Mr Howard was “was a key witness in the prosecution of former San Francisco Supervisor Ed Jew. He was able to prove for the state that Jew did not really live in San Francisco, but rather in Burlingame.”

For those that forgot Ed Jew was a protege of Leland ‘gunrunner” Yee former state senator who the FBI reeled in when they took down “Shrimpboy” Chow. Yee is supposed to have dropped a dime on Ed Jew to get him out of the way so as to further his own political career.

Just thing that make you go Hmmmm?
