But the news has added relevance today, coming as it does in the same week as IRS Commissioner John Koskinen’s smug and snarky appearance before Congress.

Nixon got into trouble for trying to use the IRS in a political way. Obama’s cronies, on the other hand run roughshod all over Americans’ rights and “get away with murder” (so to speak) by losing evidence. All it took for Nixon was losing a few minutes from a tape recorder, but these Obama cronies can lose entire hard drives full of information with impunity.
This Obama Administration is one of the crookedest administrations in America’s history.

The IRS stood against Nixon’s attempt to have the IRS go after his enemies.
This IRS gleefully went after everyone on Obama’s enemy’s list.

Nixon was an alter boy compared to the thugs running the White House now. The book ‘THE WATERGATE AMENDMENT’ by John Fitzgerald, is a great read, and shines light on what may have happened.
No, there is no administration that even comes close to Obama's for being crooked. Not even close. Not by a long shot.
I think there were three Americans unlike the unstable radical scum in Obama's IRS. Back then the Obama pukes were 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats on the campuses and in the streets.. now they are the Obama Administration and arguably the Establishment along with their ideological litters.

Did the IRS really go after these people or was it some pipe dream that he WOULD?
Apparently several people on "the list" found it a point of pride to be so designated.
My guess is that the IRS DIDN'T actually audit them, or these folks would have cried to the so-called "press" at the time.
After all, what "conservative" organization or celebrity would just LOVE to be audited?
There are three things that have fundamentally changed about America that allows 0bama to be the most corrupt regime we have ever had:
1. The media. The media hated Nixon and destroyed him. 0bama and his regime is exactly what they want.
2. The IRS couldn’t do in 1972 what it’s doing today because government wasn’t yet big enough or powerful enough. Today, the Federal government of the United States has grown so large, and has become so intrusive, that it no longer recognizes any restraint on it’s power over the citizenry. In fact, it has grown so large that the various branches are like their own feudal dukedoms. None of them recognize any authority of any other agency or branch of government. Each one has its own army as well.
3. The citizenry has become conditioned to expect the government to “take care of them.” They have also become conditioned to to the notion that they need to get permission from the government to do anything.
That is so unfair to Nixon. He wasn’t even in the same league with these people.
Obama is probably the crookedest but LBJ was nearly as dishonest and a whole lot more capable of using that corruption for his purposes.
ABOLISH the IRS.

As an extension of the Clinton Administration’s original 8 years in power, Obama is in my opinion just the Second Reich of the Clinton nightmare. Hillary is hoping she is their Third Reich. I am repeating myself, but I truly believe it.
Obama has been a very effective place-holder, but with all the Clinton C**ks***ers holding the most important positions in his cabal, I can see no other interpretation. Obama is subordinate to them and fosters their evil.
The MSM is the fuel and protector of the plan. But good always eventually trumps evil, and I believe our side will somehow prevail.

Oh, how right you are! Many have known for a long time the danger out of control bureaucrats would pose to this nation. I have even heard some say it doesn’t matter who is President..The bureaucracies hold all the power anyway. It has to stop and it will at some point, maybe many years down the road, or, maybe, when another nation takes over completely. Without an act of God or the military, I just do not see these corrupt people changing their spots.
