When 18-year-old high school student Andrew Lampart went to research conservative views on his school computer for a class debate, he was surprised – and disturbed – to discover that they were blocked.
The blocked sites at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, Connecticut, included the websites of the Vatican, the Republic Party, the National Right to Life advocacy group, and the National Rifle Association.
Meanwhile, Lampart had no problem going on to the Democrat Party, Planned Parenthood and LGBT nation websites.
"I knew it was important to get facts for both sides of the case," he told Fox News.
The situation could have been straight out of the recent Christian movie, God is Not Dead, in which an atheist lecturer threatens to fail his Christian student unless he can win a debate – decided by his classmates – about whether God exists or not.
"This is really border line indoctrination," continued Lampart.

The left may be trying to use them as indoctrination camps, but the students are learning little of anything at all in them. They are simply taxpayer-funded daycare at this point; my sons describe the delineation between those who want to learn (often motivated by parents) and the larger segment who are there because of state law.
Scary part is we have a lot of GOPLibs who support this indoctrination type of public school....the GOP and even conservative talk radio never advocates home schooling

This all started happening in the mid 1970s, I remember it clear as day. It’s when the WW2 era teachers and Professors started retiring and the leftist hippies took their place. I remember my first year in college I started the semester and my professors would show up for class wearing a suit/shirt and tie, then seemingly overnight they were gone and the next semester was hippies wearing tee shirt and sandals bashing Nixon. That use to drive me nuts “Todays lesson on statistics....now let us imagine Nixon had 3000 bombs to bomb cambodia” real dickwad leftists, but of course they mention nothing about Pol Pot. And the sad part is today those commie leftist hippies are retiring but because of leftist indoctrination, they are being replaced by the same kind of leftists so it’s this vicious circle.
You’re confusing learn math, science, and other traditional subjects with learning what the left considers important. The kids are learning the lefts subject very well.

Coached baseball with a good staff for 3 seasons at HS. The academic situation is pretty much as described. However there are still winners and losers in varsity athletics...except for soccer. And more often than not, discussions and views of subjects were far different that what the kids received in class.

Giving college deferments put a lot of anti-war types into the colleges for an extended period, and really got the whole thing rolling.
