Collaboration needed to curb gun violence
Milwaukee J-S ^ | 29 june 2014

Posted on 06/29/2014 7:38:11 AM PDT by rellimpank

Summer in Milwaukee is just getting started, and already the violence has been the worst we have seen in years. Children taken out by bullets to the head, murdered in cold blood; their innocence is no longer with us. Hate spills across the streets, destroying everything in its path and killing off what this world needs to be a better place.

What happened to coping skills that would kick in when life got rough, was unfair and seemed determined to break our spirits? What happened to valuing another's life even when yours seemed unbearable? What happened to love and compassion in spite of how others have treated you?

We ask these questions every time we face the tragedy of losing another innocent life. We gather in the streets for prayer vigils, with candles and comforting words for the families. We prop up memorials to remember the dead, asking them to rest in peace as violence continues to rip across our city. We place blame on poor school systems, abandoned houses, joblessness and discrimination. We say that politicians don't value us, our vote, our struggle or our fear. They don't appreciate who we are or where we come from. They are not from around here. They don't know our story.

We are so angry but fail to understand that our anger is driven by an underlying problem that we are too afraid to face.

What happened?

They made it illegal to teach Thou Shalt Not Kill in school.

The brainwash box has pretty much non stop murder and sex images pumping 24/7.

That's what happened.

I know where this is going.
... therefore we must get guns "off the street" by taking them away from law abiding citizens.

She has absolutely NO CLUE how to take them away from the thugs FIRST.

Yup. Gun shows, car trunk sales, no background checks. If they could just pass anti gun law #20,001 that would surely take care of all these problems. Or maybe some repaved b-ball courts with some new nets. Yeah, that’ll work.

Obama loves gangsters like Travon.

Guns, drugs, crime are the employment of thugs in Chicago and Bill Clinton did call Obama a “Chicago thug”.

Crime and killing gives the Democrats an ace in the hole when ever something goes wrong with their agenda.

The author touches on what she calls “an underlying problem”, but then doesn’t define what that underlying problem is.

The underlying problem is that urban ghetto culture is toxic, and that culture generates violence. In urban ghetto culture, a major crime is “dissing”, or disrespecting someone. When one is dissed, in urban ghetto culture, one responds with violence. The youth gangs are violent, and settle all slights, real and imagined, with guns.

But, due to political correctness, we are not allowed to talk about ghetto culture and its toxic effects. Instead, we are compelled to dance around the problem, lest we be called racist.

Amen, bro.

We all need to work together to rid the world of the scourge of Liberalism.

Who's with me?

How about you, Milwaukee J-S?

No? I didn't think so.

It's probably just a coincidence that the most violent cities in America all happen to be run by DemocRATS and have stringent gun control policies.

The only way to stop (or put a crimp in) the killings in Milwaukee, and many other cities across the country, is to establish strict curfews on young black males and the institution of stop and frisk policies. That would put a huge dent in the deaths of young, black males and innocent children.

It will not happen. Because as soon as those policies are instituted, the usual poverty pimps and race hustlers will start screaming racism. Despite the fact that there would be a lot less dead young, black males. Insanity reigns in our country.

“Children taken out by bullets to the head, murdered in cold blood; their innocence is no longer with us.”

In the rare case of a stray bullet...otherwise most of these “children” are not so innocent 17 year old drug dealing thugs killed by their competition.

When one is dissed, in urban ghetto culture, one responds with violence.

In a documentary on the "Roaring 20's", since a high percentage of people in speakeasys were armed, and you never knew who was carrying or what they were carrying, it was better to be polite and apologize for any verbal or physical faux pas.

The solution is simple! Just make the whole city a “gun free zone”, then the criminals will have to pack up and move somewhere else, right?

Nikiya Harris Dodd is wrong. We are NOT all guilty. The hellholes black inner city people live in have been created by self appointed black leaders working with white liberal elites. The horror of the black community isn't an mistake.

Here's what's NOT going to work:

Marching

Singing

Parades

Violence

Threats

Believing democrat empty promises for the hundredth time in a year...

Midnight basketball

Another ‘community center’

Blaming schools

Blaming whites

Lack of ‘job training’...

Crying for the dead

More 'gun control' laws... taking guns from law biding citizens

Voting for one party - every time...

Endless excuses for inappropriate behavior.

Nikiya Harris Dodd’s MOTHER and FATHER let her down - my heart goes out to her and her brothers and sisters... no child should have to live like they lived. There are solutions that can help, but NOT the ones listed above. Liberal elites solutions - endorsed by self appointed black ‘leaders’ don't work. Elite liberal 'solution' on the above list has been tried - AND failed.

Elite liberal democrats want blacks broken, angry, dependent and loyal... Black 'leaders' want power and white people to 'shake down' for guilt cash... for themselves and their organizations. Not for the benefit of black people. How do I know that? The proof's in the pudding... We know a tree by it's fruit... A person would have to be blind not to see it... etc etc etc...

Exactly. You rarely, if ever see middle-class suburban areas have the types of violent crimes occur in them. It is almost always the urban ghetto where most residents only know violence and don’t pay for their rent, utilities, etc. themselves so them make no effort to improve their neighborhood.

This usually ends in them demanding the police solve the problems of their crime ridden areas, while refusing to cooperate in any PD investigation.

Socialists been working diligently, either directly or indirectly dumbing down the public, needless to say always well intentioned or well-meaning and as the old adage goes “The road to hell is paved with good intentions” Not to mention that if you keep a good portion of the public either ignorant or in poverty there is no better way for getting re-elected.

It is unfortunate that either highly educated but political ignorant people or people on the lower rungs of society, always hoping or wishing for something, but never getting it, invariable fall for the crap being served up by socialists.

If people would pay any attention to history they would learn that in the long run socialism never has or ever will work, and as a byproduct it produces a lower, poorly educated class of society which thinks that a gun is the best way to settle whatever comes along.

My feeling is that if anything, things will only get worse if humanity continues on the path it is on. Politicians can be easily changed, but the mindset of people which was decades in the making, keeps on producing and re-electing worthless politicians. It would take a generation or two to change what has gotten us where we are today and it is doubtful that it will. Unfortunately it is not only the US which appears to have problems, but is a problem worldwide and for mankind in general.

Sooner or later things will come to a head as they always do, either triggered by some calamity or it will usher in another war. Then the soul-searching begins anew as to where did we as a society go wrong and once again we ring our hands exclaiming “We could have, we should have and why didn’t we ?

Regarding science and technology we are already living in the future. But as far as solving society’s social problems we are way behind and any form or variety of “isms” certainly will not get us there.
