UKRAINE: National Guard battalion 3 "Donbass"

The battalion of the National Guard battalion 3 "Donbass" took the oath of Office as a new military unit. And on Thursday on the eve of the "Donbas" visited a group of foreign journalists. They came with a group of translators, asked to give them an opportunity to mingle with the fighters. And imagine their shock when going to the ranks of 460 fighters in camouflage, they heard ... the English language! It suddenly became clear that at least 40 fighters "Donbass speak fluent English! The peaceful life of the people with guns-financial directors, marketing managers, programmers, lawyers of the Donetsk and Luhansk companies, including international. What they certainly could get anywhere in the world, and have a nice quiet work - but they do not want to live like office plankton. These men, these citizens, decided to defend their country with weapons in their hands, and the business left for later. Then they leave their "Lexi" and "Mercedes" in the parking lot to knead dirt on tactical training and run around shooting range with Command instructors. They did not ask to reduce the load, they asked to teach them as much as possible because they decided to release their Donbass with weapons in their hands.

I was personally especially touched by a 55-year-old soldier - a former U.S. citizen of Ukrainian origin, businessman with a big house, cars, prosperous, with a large family and grandchildren, who renounced his citizenship and adopted Ukrainian to help liberate our homeland. A man with a gun, for whom life and honor is not measured by the number of zeros in your bank account.

And then there was working at the site, and conducted classes another volunteer from "Donbass" Jewish community "It's so there was no doubt who is the anti-fascist," he laughs.

A group of volunteers were showed a police anti-terrorist tactics tricks shooting. And that's when given the command "at ease was given and order broke down and started witty conversation, in English, suddenly forgotten that in this intellectual crowd, noisy, loud, where in communication there was no subordination, but only camaraderie and brotherhood - a military unit. It seemed incredible that these people are discussing their impressions of recent politics in Europe, will give up their life, full of comfort and affluence for their assault rifles and sniper rifles - it's not a game of Sunday entertainment and work tools

I do not know whether the volunteer battalions will become the basis for the creation of new Ukrainian armed forces. But I would like to see each of our military unit have such bocov and such relationships in theteam.

And I know exactly about these wonderful men-this is the real Ukrainian elite. Conscious citizens, who understand that the homeland is not just a place where you earn money and live beautifully. Homeland, is a land that if you must, you give away your life ...

Every time I see "Donbass" I think it's talking about a "Dumb ass," especially after a can of whipped cream.
