If Greenwald successfully documents that the NSA has taken the leap toward surveiling people for their political views, he will reveal that establishment flunkies for NSA surveillance are liars, and perhaps create the kind of synergy that spawned the Church and Pike Committees that reined in warrantless political surveillance by the FBI and CIA in the 1950s and 1960s.

I really understand where you're coming from, and normally I would heartily agree, strongly based on what you said.

I'll go out on a limb, though, and say you're probably going to be surprised.

I subscribe to his youtube channel, and he's dropping weird hints that the people the NSA is spying on is US, and people like us.

I absolutely think the center of mass of NSA spying is the "Mom, Baseball, and apple-pie" set. I think Uncle Sam has gone out and axe-murdered the very people who loved him.
