Judge Debra Nelson has ruled in favor of NBC in a defamation lawsuit filed by George Zimmerman.
Zimmerman filed the lawsuit in December 2012, saying NBC aired an edited version of the call he made to 911 right before his confrontation with 17-year-old Trayvon Martin...

Unmentioned by this "news" source: this "judge" is the same one who tried to railroad Zimmerman in the murder trial. Can you say "Ripe for appeal"???
To: SoFloFreeper
OK...on to the appeals courts...and then,if necessary,to the Federal courts.

So doctoring a tape as NBC did is not “actual malice”?
If not, then what is?

Doctoring the tape is not malice because it was done to support the liberal view of this case. Liberals are allowed to say and do anything in support of liberal causes. Liberals decided that Trayvon Martin was killed in a racist incident, killed for no reason. Thus, based on liberal views, anything done to support that is okay.

So where does George Zimmerman go to get justice and clear his name after being slimed by the "news" media?
Apparently not the courts.

As we saw from the trial, Judge Nelson is a hack, and follows orders from above.
Zimmerman had a fair trial by the slimmest of margins and still managed to be acquitted.
But he would have been found guilty if it was up to Nelson. I have never seen a more biased judge ever. She should be disbarred.
She should have recused herself from this trial, and the administrative judge over her court should have demanded she do so and appointed someone else to hear this case.
But the powers that be had it in for Zimmerman.
Zimmerman can go to the appeals court now.

So doctoring a tape as NBC did is not actual malice? If not, then what is? Did the biased 'judge' think the tape was doctored accidentally?

Jeb Bush. Who was a decent governor....but has gone a bit downhill.
To: SoFloFreeper
Zimmerman loses the case for libel because in cannot prove actual malice.
Zimmerman must prove actual malice because he is a public figure.
Zimmerman is a public figure because the people who libeled him made him one.

From what I understand the nutty prosecutor for Jacksonville in the Zimmerman case was a Republican (or appointed by one) too... And I agree, Jeb was fine as a governor... but his ideas on immigration disqualify him from being taken seriously.

She should have recused herself. Why would any lawyer go forward with this case once it was known that she would be the judge?
