Never forget-—Cochran was a dem. As was Trent Lott. So is this principle? Doubt it. Dude was paid by Barbour and now is moving to next payor for the main election.
A parliament of whores.

The whole MS cheating primary scandal really puts the spotlight on the GOPe with the Libdems on the same stage... in the same spotlight.

The gope will rue this day. They have officially forsaken the base.

So was Shelby of Alabama. Ran one of the most despicable campaigns I have ever seen to unseat Jeremiah Denton, a true American hero.

"Cochran was a dem. As was Trent Lott"

The entire south used to be democrat. But there was LBJ and his civil and voting rights acts followed Nixon's southern strategy to bring the southern populist democrats into the GOP.

Texas Gov Rick Perry was a democrat. He didn't shift til 1990.

Texas lagged behind the rest of the south in shifting to the GOP. The first attempt at making the shift was from GHW Bush but the Texas populists detested him because he was a carpetbagging northern republican elitist.
