So global warming is supposed to cause oceans to rise, but the Great Lakes to lower? I don’t get it.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm beginning think the Big Guy upstairs is toying around with these "enlightened" con men. Almost everything is breaking against them.

I’m guessing that they figure global warming (”heat”) somehow is related to droughts. Of course when a bunch of water is locked up in miles-thick sheets of ice - that is when you have a world wide lack of rain. Not just weather-related droughts.
