To: Shadowstrike

‘Derecho’ has been in use for over a hundred years, mostly by weather geeks. Lately popularized by climate disruption apostles in hopes of fooling rubes. It’s a long line of thunderstorms.

Specifically it means a line of t-storms that cause damage by straight-line wind rather than tornadoes.

and that's my problem with it.

Everyone wants to sound so friggin’ superior to the lowly idiots that they broadcast to.

Just tell me the weather, don't pretty it up, or act like a clown. When they start that I change the channel.

It's like calling a storm that was a Hurricane by the name it was given when it's just a thunderstorm, and I've actually SEEN the morons do that.

Thunderstorm (insert name) which used to be Hurricane Blah-Blah.
