And bear in mind, if this pans out, no deadline matters. Apparently according to Mississippi law, if vote buying is proven, its recipient is no longer eligible for office. Thad would lose his seat by default and a special election would be held.
But ideally, we want this seen by a judge now, the result invalidated, Cochran disqualified, and McDaniel declared the winner.
Will be interesting to see how far up the food chain this goes. I wonder if anyone has told Rand Paul about this latest development yet. He was among many of the good old boys who supported Cochran in addition to McCain and Rove.
