Confidence in the Presidency Has Been Tanking for Years ['Bush's fault' Obama apologia]

Americans have no more faith in the presidency under President Obama than they did under George W. Bush, a new Gallup Poll finds.

After just his first year in office, the number of Americans who said they felt either a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the presidency began to drop under Obama, and it hasn't turned around since. Confidence in the presidency did start off at a relatively high 51 percent in Obama's first year. But it didn't take long for confidence to dive.

Although there was a similar decline in presidential confidence under both Obama and Bush, it took Bush six full years to reach Obama's current lows.

Bill Clinton had it far easier. Even in the midst of impeachment, Clinton's presidency was able to maintain a high level of confidence. He left office with a 42 percent confidence level—just 1 percentage point off from where he started.

The executive wasn't the only branch of government to see its confidence level dip. Both Congress, which only 7 percent of Americans have a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in, and the U.S. Supreme Court, with 30 percent, have now hit record lows.

What Stephanie fails to point out in her analogy is that Bush's popularity shrank in the face of constant, withering fire from the media from the beginning of his initial campaign for the office, while Øbama's popularity has collapsed despite his positions being propped up by that same media...the same ones who are utterly blind to any crime or scandal committed by his regime.

Had the "fourth estate" done due diligence for this slob, even reluctantly, he would have been tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a rail years ago.

Well, if Obumbo was a WASP, he would never have been elected, much less reelected.
Faux white guilt and a Marxist media put The Commie in office and have kept him there.
Remember, he still has over two years left to complete his carnage. As a result, it will take an act of God to save the country.

I wonder what the rebound was from Carter to Reagan.

“It will take an act of God to save this country”

And that’s only if He deems it worth saving. Considering how it has turn away from Him, could He be blamed for looking elsewhere?

And what the article omits is that Zero has been significantly below Bush every year but the first.

I do not recall ANY previous president in our history of having such a low confidence rating as does odumbo.

He’s a dyed in the wool, born loser!

Carter was pretty close there towards the end. But it appears Barry is about to surpass him.
