Kobach, Morgan tangle over definition of real Republican

Secretary of State Kris Kobach mockingly recommended that Republican primary challenger Scott Morgan alter his party affiliation before the deadline.

"It's about truth in advertising," Kobach said. "If a candidate says he is a Republican, voters ought to be able to trust that he will take Republican positions on a majority of issues." (SNIP)

"It makes as much sense to say he's a Republican as it would to say I'm a Democrat," said Kobach, who resides in Piper. "He's more liberal than the Democrat in this race."

Snide and hareful responses on line to the article people, by pretending to be Republicans.

Considering the article ran in the Topeka Capitol Urinal (Journal), the same rag that continuously ran glowing articles constantly about then Governor Kathleen Sebelious, I'm not one bit surprised!

Topeka, where the population consists of government employees, now has to endure genuine citizen legislators, an honest Governor who desires to return money to the taxpayers instead of growing government, thereby cramping the style of government service unions!

Imagine, having a Secretary of State who vowed to secure the ballot for legitimate voters, asking only that they be citizens of this country, registered in the house, city, county and state where they claim and not have already voted in another place.

Only genuine liberals reject and resent that.

BTW. That "loyalty clause" that Kris, I and many others pushed when he ran the Kansas GOP, declared if a GOP precinct committee person, donated money, signed ads in support of or put signs in their yards supporting Democrats, step down from their position, purporting to represent Republicans. not the DNC!

KS newspapers, academics and other liberals pretend to prefer non-partisan elections, which hide the facts behind the liberal candidates' positions, so they naturally find Kris Kobach an extremist, especially as he really IS a Constitutional professor, supports the US Constitution, and wrote the AZ law defending the citizens of this country against foreign invasion!

A “Real Republican” is one who doesn’t spend every waking moment trying to figure out how to give the liberals what they want, so that the liberals will quit saying bad things about them.
