The Republican runoff election circus seems destined to land in court one way or another. Chris McDaniel's supporters have been pining for legal action since their candidate lost by more than 6,000 votes to Sen. Thad Cochran in the June 24 GOP runoff. McDaniel is expected to challenge the results, which his campaign says include many ineligible voters. Now, Cochran's campaign is telling a blogger and a former campaign worker from Lauderdale County to lawyer up.

The problem appears to be that Cochran hired a whore and then after she serviced him, he refused to pay.

As a Prosecutor I ask this sincerely ... is it a crime in TN? Depending on the statute, it may not be. And then you have to show who was involved, who they voted for, etc. I’m not saying don’t file suit. heavens knows we prosecuted some cases we knew we would lose as it was just the right thing to do”. But this is almost impossible to prove. Unless you’ve really got something, go with a write in.

Cochran blowing smoke. Johnson and his attorneys will have a field day with discovery. I wouldnt be surprised Barbour, McConnell, Denise Priebus, Romney, tell Cochran to chill with the lawsuit talk....
Or, like the old joke about the woman who didn’t know she’d been raped until the check bounced. Cochran may run, but he’s not going to be able to hide behind his shady shenanigans for long.
Charles C. Johnson is on Twitter and he was on BlogTalkRadio tonight. He said he is going to go after a lot of corrupt Republicans. The host asked him if he was not afraid of getting off’d. He said he believes in Jesus and if it is his time to go he will. If not, he won’t. He said he has spies all over Mississippi and is not afraid of all the threats. I follow him on Twitter because he is really going to be interesting with his news items.
This can only turn out one way. Cochran will be the sitting senator. McConnell, Alexander, McCain, and others who stand with Cochran will stop at nothing to quash this contest. Now, their futures are at stake. If they need to buy off a judge or whoever, they will.

yep, it’s not the service you pay them for; you pay them to go away.
It was 50 years ago this summer when the political machine descendants of Barbour, Cochran and Co. (when the machine had a D next to its name) were going after civil rights workers executing three of them and burying them in the swamp.
