If politicians had left the system as the Founding States had intended it to operate, a very limited power federal government with a president elected by the electoral college, then citizens would likely have to guess who the current president is.
On the other hand, just think what a dull, boring courtry this would be to gruw up and live in if parents actually made sure that their children were taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
I wish for a time again when candidates quietly put their names forward, did not campaign themselves, were selected at real conventions after the 4th ballot, and were there to actually follow their oaths if they won.
