Hillary Clinton calls for funding boycott of Tea Party, conservatives9(VIDEO @ Site)
Washington Examiner ^ | July 3 2014 | Paul Bedard

Claiming that the uncompromising nature of new conservative politicians and their actions, like the 2013 federal government shutdown, are personally distressing and internationally damaging, Hillary Clinton said that Americans should not be supporting and funding “organizations that take that kind of view.”

Without mentioning names or groups, Clinton in a C-SPAN interview airing Saturday at 7 p.m. ET was clearly attacking the Tea Party and their Senate leaders like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz by mentioning the Cruz-led shutdown and the uncompromising positions several conservatives, even House Speaker John Boehner, have taken on key issues.

“We have to make sure we elect people who believe in compromise,” she told C-SPAN’s Steve Scully during an interview taped in Little Rock, Arkansas. The interview was part of Clinton’s tour to promote her new memoir, “Hard Choices.”

Halfway into his interview, Scully asked her about relations between the White House and Congress and she unloaded on conservatives.

After slapping the government shutdown, she rapped candidates and elected officials in Washington who won’t compromise. “There are a lot of candidates, even some elected officials, who proudly say they'll never compromise; they have the truth. Now I’m a person of faith, but I don’t think any human being has the truth,” she said in excerpts provided to Secrets.

Then she called for a boycott of conservative politicians and groups presumably like the Tea Party, which has advocated against compromise with Democrats on several issues.

“Now first, citizens should not be endorsing those kinds of views. You can be very conservative, but you know that in a democracy, in the give and take of a legislative process, no person is going to get everything he or she wants. Secondly, people should not be funding campaigns or organizations that take that kind of views,” she said on C-SPAN’s Book TV.

Then Clinton added: “Because it’s not just this president, it’s going to be any president who has a responsibility to the overall population of our country and to be put in a position where you can’t cooperate because people are uncompromising and they are being funded to be uncompromising is dangerous to our democracy.”

While she expressed respect for those who stand for "matters of great principle," Clinton added that "a lot of these debates are not matters of great principle. They are political arguments designed to gain advantage; not just against the other party or president of another party, but really against large segments of the American people who have a different point of view."

Again, without mentioning names, she slapped Mississippi Sen. Chris McDaniel’s primary challenge to Sen. Thad Cochran, and complimented Cochran on expanding his support in the recent runoff to beat his Tea Party foe. Conservatives charge that Cochran schemed with Democrats to beat McDaniel.

I hope as many people as possible go to see America, Dinesh D’Souza’s film.

Hillary comes out not looking so good. Well, it’s an honest look at her and her cohorts, so...

Gee, it’s not like we’re a democratic republic where people are allowed to have different political opinions and freely participate in politics...

Liberalism is fascism. What a totalitarian haridan.

Shrillary at her best...and totally clueless as usual.

“No one has the truth.” That is an accurate statement if you’re referring to the Mr. and Mrs. Clinton. They wouldn’t know it if they tripped over it.

"Now I’m a person of faith..."

Of that I have little doubt.

If we want to eliminate ten government programs, then compromise is to eliminate six and reduce the other four. It is not to increase the spending on all ten and then add another half dozen new programs.

I am more than willing to compromise in the first method. Unfortunately the GOPe only compromises the second way, in which case not compromising at all and jamming the gears of government is the better option.

Hillary is an abomination. Add backing up Thad Cochran’s Mississippi voter fraud to her list of treasonous acts.

Talk about being out of touch. How many Tea Party supporters are going to go “Oh - Hillary told me not to support the Tea Party, so I guess I’ll stop”? How stupid is she (rhetorical question)?

In reality, what she means to say is that conservative candidates are slowing down the clan commie cloward and piss piven’s strategy of financially wrecking America. That is very distressing to her.
