Independence Day is a good time to revisit the foundations of our political order, especially given the long record of Barack Obama and the Democrats disregard for the Constitution. The members of the Continental Congress who met in Philadelphia in July 1776 sought their independence from England in order to recover their rights that had been violated by a tyrant, and to establish political freedom and autonomy so that those rights could be protected from further erosion. For a century now the Progressive ideology has insidiously undermined that legacy of autonomy in a slow-motion revolution that aims to fundamentally transform America.

Happy 4th of July. Keep the faith, be safe and have fun.
He outlines the foundations of our republic and the damage the wilsonian left has done to it.
Yet he offers no republican solution. Pity.
Liberals believe there is no God and so you have no rights other than those given to you by Government.
Good read. Thanks for posting.
Here’s another similar article on the state of our country today:
Regards and Happy 4th of July to you and yours.
To liberals, government is their religion.
Roger that. I nearly said that in my initial comment. I guess I kinda did with the “Godless” portion.
I suppose a lot of Americans are just fine with the current situation as long as they’re “free” to watch the latest kar-douchians escapades. Or the mis-adventures of honey bobo.

One of the best counterattacks against this erosion has begun in South Carolina, by the action of their state legislature:

“The Center for Womens and Gender Studies (CWGS) at the University of South Carolina Upstate (USCU) will close on July 1 and the funding, previously allocated for CWGS, will be used to teach the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Federalist Papers.”
Other state legislatures should be encouraged to do the same, and more, to replace the enormous amount of progressive claptrap, empty and useless courses of study and degrees, and general cultural rot found in universities throughout the United States.
They can do so in good faith and with honor, because such malignant and worthless diversions prey mostly on minority students, who are diverted from careers where they might achieve prosperity and self reliance for themselves and their families, while often leaving them deeply impoverished and in perpetual debt.
It would be excellent for minority students, redemptive for all students, and direct all into careers that are best for them, their communities, their state, and their nation.
Isn’t this the fundamental purpose of state funding of higher education?
“Isnt this the fundamental purpose of state funding of higher education?” Sadly, that used to be the purpose. Not so much now. Especially with the majority of the profs leaning/tilting left.
Fortunately, the appropriation of money is out of the hands of the leftist professors. It is up to state legislatures, and many of them, especially in red states, should be more than happy to put the squeeze on the leftist penetration of academia.
It’s missing the congressional handoff of regulatory authority to the executive branch
