Every time I read this I get choked up. History is repeating itself.

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

When I was unfortunate enough to live in the liberal cesspool of New York city a few years ago, I actually saw some libtards holding a party called “Celebration day”. They actually had a banner down in the village on July 4th calling it “Celebration day”.

Liberals like to change the names of things or holidays which offend them.

Columbus Day is called Indigenous People’s Day in some liberal places. They can’t bear to celebrate Columbus discovering America. Instead they want to celebrate Indian peoples on that day.

We know how liberals don’t want to say “Christmas”, and have deleted the name of Christmas from many Christmas oriented holiday celebrations.

Some liberals have taken to changing the name of Thanksgiving to “Turkey Day”. Such liberals are offended because Thanksgiving is a religious term, the idea that one gives thanks to God offends them. And, also liberals want to drive home the points of having stolen America from Indians, yadda, yadda, yadda, so we can’t talk about Thanksgiving.

I think we’re still allowed to call Memorial Day by that name, though the meaning of a memorial day is lost on most people. Ditto Labor Day is called by its proper name, but again, I think many people don’t understand how that holiday came to be. Martin Luther King’s birthday is perhaps the most solemn holiday for the liberal types.

Though not a holiday, I’m frustrated that Obama and others want to commemorate Sept. 11th by making it a day of service to others. While service to others is commendable, what does service to others have to do with marking the anniversary of a savage attack on our country?

Here, on July 4, 2014, when we ponder the premise of this very special day, that it means that those fine and hard-working people 228 years ago rightly and courageously chose to disconnect themselves and become INDEPENDENT from a distant, disconnected, oppressive government entity, and we now find ourselves here with more people DEPENDENT on a distant, disconnected, oppressive government entity than ever before in world history.

It’s so sad.....

Created...... that is an instant in time.

From that moment total equality ceases as some grow and others so not. Some relish life and the challenges and excel.

Others choose to shun the challenge, the learning, the quest. They become increasingly unequal.

As the in equality of mind and body grows, the reward for the former while the reward for the latter diminishes. That is the point of trouble.
