A California trooper has been filmed brutally beating a woman on the side of a highway - but authorities claimed he simply stopped her for her own safety.
A passing motorist recorded the unidentified California Highway Patrol officer as he punched the woman at least 11 times in the head along the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
On the video uploaded to YouTube, the woman can be seen trying to protect herself by putting up her hands but she does not appear to resist the trooper.
'The most animalistic, most brutal way to subdue someone is to pound someone's head into the concrete with really big blows to the head,' witness David Diaz told ABC7

My guess is the Daily Mail posts articles like this not because they hate Americans or want to make us look bad, but because Americans click on the news we don’t get from our own media.
She probably ordered him to get his hands off of her. We all know cops don’t abide by peasants telling them what to do.

I greatly appreciate the British press, especially the Daily Mail. There have been many stories over the past few years that affect this country...and are not reported on by our own media. We learn it from overseas.
You say that as if there was a chance of any chance of legal punishment that was going to happen to this cop. There will be an “investigation”, then he will be found to have acted properly. The woman will be charged with resisting arrest for trying to protect herself from that vicious attack. He ‘ll be back at work within a week. Her life is ruined. And the world will keep getting worse.
I wonder if this is how the jackboot treats his wife or girlfriend.

If the punishments aren't forthcoming, or are lame, then the liberal politicians need to be removed from office.
Ignoring the real political problem and relying on extra-judicial punishment is why you have cops beating citizens on the side of the road to begin with.

NO, we should be thankful that they exist, because without them we would never see stuff like this. I just wonder if the US press is returning the favor by doing similar a similar kind of reporting in the UK?
