The impact of the U.S. recession will reverberate for generations to come as women — both Anglos and Hispanics — continue to postpone having children.
For the second year in a row, deaths of non-Hispanic whites outnumbered births from July 1, 2012, to July 1, 2013, according to population estimates released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau.
“These are the only two years in U.S. history when more non-Hispanic whites died than were born,” said Kenneth Johnson, senior demographer at the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey Institute. Births have been fewer for some time, “but the decline since the onset of the Great Recession has been precipitous.”
The Census Bureau estimates that there were just under 2 million births to whites who are not Hispanic, compared with 2.3 million births at the peak of the economic boom in 2006–07 — a 13 percent drop in just six years.

The USA’s fertility rate was 1.89 in 2011. It must be about 1.80 now. Bare replacement level is 2.1.

One reason that there is white flight, is that people who want kids, want to move to a better place to raise them, one that resembles California of 50 years ago and a place that they can pretend to not know the future that awaits them.
Why else do you think the ruling elite of both parties is dead set on bringing in millions of immigrants legally or illegally?

My thoughts, too; I’m waiting to leave the bay area before I have any children. Can’t stand the liberal atmosphere, as it’s both toxic to children and myself.
It’s going to take a long time to clean this all out.

I’ve posted the same thing for years. Did people really think our “government class” (politicians, teachers, emergency personnel, etc.) were going to simply downsize to match our shrinking population?
Also, I’ve maintained for years that the 2050 projection for this to no longer be a white-majority nation is an absolute hoax (probably to prevent reaction or panic). I still believe 2020 is a more reliable projection.

While he is a willing collaborator in this, it started long before him. Remember Bush II’s meeting with Vicente Fox, where the Mexican president highlighted the danger to the stability of Mexico if it was filled with unemployed young men? Bush II was happy to oblige in keeping the border open. In my area (northeastern NJ) illegals have been here under a de facto amnesty for decades; it switched from Irish & Scottish illegals to Hispanic and Asian ones.

I’m glad I’m past the age in which my wife and I would have to decide whether to have kids and bring them up in a dying country. I fear for my 4-year-old granddaughter.

The more appropriate question is.. Who else is going to pull the welfare wagon? Working Americans will be the slave labor to the unproductive.
