Teacher unions would be out protesting, if classrooms were suddenly overfilled with twice as many students. They wouldn’t be criticized as “heartless,” they’d be portrayed as reasonable and standing up for their rights, by the media.
Tea Party folks want LEGAL, ORDERLY Immigration - not massive dumps of people, without the public funds to support it, who carry possible diseases, who may be terrorists etc. But when we complain - we get called “haters.”
How is this any different?
Why are Teacher Unions termed heroes when they protest being “exploited” with extra burdens - but we are the ‘racist haters’?

Why can’t 1 teacher control 20 kids with out a TA? When I went to school K-12 we had 30-35 students per class, per teacher no TA’s. We ate lunch at our desk K-6, recess two 15 min periods, and after lunch weather permitting spent the remainder OUT SIDE PLAYING. With a couple of teachers as supervisors. Never saw the inside of a ‘lunch room cafeteria’ until 9th grade. Closed campus.
