Reading between the lines, I'd say we had knowledge of an impending event.

I don’t watch Fox or TV news much. Are the good people there crying for an explanation by Obama to the American public for his lies about the video, the apology commercial to Pockeestahn, and an apology from Hillary Clinton to lying to the faces of the grieving families????
First, we simply MUST CRY FOR OBAMA TO ADMIT AND APOLOGIZE TO US FOR THESE LIES.
HE MUST ADDRESS THIS AND WE MUST PUSH FOR IT.
IOW 0bama’s minions and himself were a bit frugal with the truth ....

In a nutshell: ‘Twas Obama’s idea to blame it on the video. Hillary was against it. Bill Clinton saw through it as well. Obama wanted Hillary to do the 5 Sunday shows. She declined. Petraeus declined as well.
But Hillary nevertheless supported the policy once it was set and put out her news release blaming the video as ordered by Obama.
