Kathleen Sebellius was elected governor of Kansas twice. The first time (2002) with 52.9% of the vote and the second time (2006) with 57.8% of the vote. It seems like the people of Kansas have an affinity for far left progressive leadership as well as absentee RINO senators such as Bob Dole and Pat Roberts.

When I lived there, I noticed that even the “conservatives” were liberal.
Beg to differ way much with New Jerseys being number 44. Lived here all my life. Forget the ‘’Joisey’’ stereotypes of Mafia goons, dumb broads with ‘’big hair’’ and that insulting tv show “Jersey Shore. We’re home to seven military bases, numerous sports stadiums , industries of all kinds , farms, horse farms , breeding and riding stables, colleges and universities as well as abounding in Revolutionary War history and Revolutionary War battle field sites and three of the signers of The Declaration of Independence, Richard Stockton, John Witherspoon and Francis Hopkinson hailed from my state.
If they surveyed by county California would have several in the top ten and several in the bottom ten.

I call bullshit on this.
Considering they are basing some on retired vets living in the state, I know lots of vets who aren't the least bit conservative and another category of "searching for American flags"on the internet as well as "liked America on Facebook," these do not signify pro-America at all.
Many smart people are not on Facebook and many know where to buy their American flags without looking up a site on the ''net!
Well, there are a whole lotta leftwing kooks in Austin, Houston & Dallas.
Now add the illegal leftwing illegal socialists it’s only a matter of time until Texas turns leftist.

-National Historic Landmarks per Capita: Locations where events happened in the past. Lots of history in my neck of the woods but few monuments since the big events were mostly between the French and Indian wars and the war of 1812.
-Veterans per Capita: The south has been a favored retirement destination since the invention of air conditioning.
-Money Spent to Fund Veterans: Largely federal money following the veterans as they retire in the south.
-Percent of Residents That Voted in the Last Presidential Election; There are any number of reasons people can’t or don’t vote in presidential elections.
-People Who Google For American Flags to buy: Only Google? I’ve never ordered a flag online. I prefer to go to the store and check them out to make sure they’re American made and of high quality.
-People Who List America as an Interest on Facebook.: I avoid facebook like the plague.
Sorry but after seeing everyone yesterday, I would say Maryland is number 1 in patriotism. The place was full of Red, White and Blue......parades all over the place in neighborhoods, pancake breakfasts with red, white and blue batter. I was pretty proud of this state. Oh yeah, incredible fireworks.

Well since you don’t live here, your opinion is nonsense. I saw it with my own eyes and experience. Arnold Maryland was absolutely INCREDIBLE yesterday. I love Maryland. It has more to offer than most states by a mile.
I live in Maine. The bulk of Maine’s population is in southern Maine, a commutable distance to the Boston area.
Maine goes blue in presidential elections because of the lib transplants from southern New England, and because of the poverty in the rural areas. Then there’s the moonbats who buy expensive second homes (summer homes) in the coastal towns, and then move here at some point and bring their lib voting patterns with them.
Maine had the highest per-capita number of National Guard troops in Iraq and Afghanistan....the military is very much respected here. There are huge numbers of veterans here, too. Memorial Day and Independence Day parades are held in almost every town, even the small communities. Lots of American flags flying on roads and in front of homes.
The troop greeters at Bangor International Airport are legendary. These men and women, many of them elderly, visit with the troops on every departing flight and welcome them home when they return.
When the troops returned home from the Gulf War in 1991, the local citizenry mobbed the terminal at Bangor International Airport; it was wall-to-wall people shouting “Welcome Home!” at the military men and women coming off the chartered aircraft.
The Second Amendment is alive and well here in Maine. Lots of military supply stores advertising “black rifles” and ammo on move-able type signs in front of their stores on busy roads. There are commercials on TV and radio for gun shops, firearm training courses, and the like. We have open carry.
We have no shortage of moonbat libs, but conservatives have made some headway in recent years. The conservative beat the RINO by 12 points during the primary to choice a GOP candidate for Maine’s open 2nd congressional house seat. We have a TEA Party guy, Paul LePage, as governor.
Yes, “gay” marriage was approved here at the ballot box....it took three tries over a period of years for the “yes” forces to prevail. The pro-”gay” marriage types had boatloads of money from out-of-state, whereas the “No” side had very little money, unfortunately.
We’ve got a ways to go, but taking the country back state by state is a fight worth fighting.
Hell, take out illegals and CA moves into the .500 range.

Arnold is also nautical, which means that parts of it are somewhat historic and touch the ocean or tidal bodies of water, such as inlets and bays. Quite often, nautical areas such as these attract visitors and locals who come to enjoy the scenery and various waterfront activities.
