[Alas Babylon!]

Just got back from church.

I am about fed up to my top with what is going on in this country, and the world for that matter.

The lies, the stupidity, the ignorance, the evil.

I could write all day and barely scratch the surface.

I am done writing (mostly...).

I prayed this morning and the answer I received was “This too must pass-—The world is being made ready for My return.”

Now, I’m not a Evangelical; I’m Catholic. But I am a believer that Jesus is Lord—this is the fundamental truth of my Church and please let’s not argue it. But it’s not like I’m sitting around praying for the End Times. Catholics don’t have the whole End Times thing as a major pillar of their faith; not that there’s anything wrong with it; we absolutely believe Jesus will return to Reign as He said He would, someday.

Still, this morning I was STRUCK by the impression, message, feeling, whatever you want to call it that things are coming to a head. My mind and soul was heavy with all the news and tragedy striking the nation I served for 22 years. I was praying for us and the US when this “answer” appeared in my mind.

I was surprised to see your name attached to this. I thought it was posted by another frequent contributor, until the end. But I know what you mean. I agree with your feeling and sentiments.

But if you were concerned that a caliphate is about to emerge in the ME, rest assured that NPR says it is all a mirage and ain’t gonna happen (snort):

No it doesn’t Alas Babylon-I too have been struck by overpowering sense that this is all going to come to an end. All the chaos will have to come to a head. We are almost there.
