A 38-year-old man in southern Sweden was assaulted on Sunday night after hanging an Israeli flag from his window, with police suspecting it is a hate crime.
The incident occurred in Seved, Malmö, shortly before midnight on Sunday when the man displayed an Israeli flag from his window, sources told newspaper Sydsvenskan. The man reportedly exchanged words with men on the street after hanging the flag, and left his apartment.
Before the assault the man's window had been smashed where the flag of Israel had been hung.
"After that the man went out onto the street to see what was going on. Then he was attacked and it was on the basis of the flag. That is the information we have at present," Linda Pleym of the Malmö police told the TT news agency.
Police said he was then assaulted by around ten people with iron pipes and chased from the building. The man managed to escape his attackers and was found by police on a nearby street. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have not yet made any arrests, but have interviewed witnesses in the area.
"Our initial evaluation is that this is a hate crime," Malmö policewoman Marie Keismar told TT news agency. The act has been classified as aggravated assault.
The police intend to interview the victim on Monday afternoon.

Fun’s fun, but I can’t imagine this being a smart thing in Sweden.
Sweden ranks #10 in gun ownership worldwide, and personal weapons are kept at home, although in a safe. It’s a shame there wasn’t an armed Swede with quick access to a high capacity fully automatic pump action 12 gauge AK-47 Glock revolver nearby to put an end to this thuggish behavior. Dead is the best cure for terrorists - the recidivism rate is zero.
I hear what you’re saying, but lets face it... even today most Europeans detest Jews and have no problem with something like this. They may not have committed the crime, but they likely won’t complain about it either.

Malmo is now a Islamic shithole/foothold in Sweden’s third largest city, and the police are afraid to go in there unless heavily armed and in strength.

Very true and a good point... The invasion of Sweden by Muslims only encourages stuff like this.
Accordingly, all that harms Swedes is encouraged. All that preserves Sweden and protects Swedes is ruthlessly beaten down.
The mass importation of Muslim thugs and rapists and the permanent demographic destruction of the nation are beyond the limits of polite discussion.
