MSNBC panelists on Monday seemed puzzled by the presidents refusal to visit the U.S.-Mexico border while he fundraises in Texas, with USA Today reporter Susan Page calling the decision Mr. Obama's Katrina moment.
Appearing on The Daily Rundown, Carolyn Ryan of The New York Times argued that the crisis on the border, in which thousands of immigrants are crossing illegally in record numbers, goes to question the presidents competence.
You can see that 30-second TV ad, host Chuck Todd added, The Washington Free Beacon reported. You start with the health care rollout. You go to the VA. You go to Syria. You go to Iraq. And you can go to the border. And you can draw a straight line.
This is unacceptable to more than Republicans on immigration, the situation we have there, Ms. Page said. And boy, is that going to anger some of his core constituents who have wanted him to do more on immigration, not less.
I think this is kind of a lose-lose for him, politically speaking.(continued)

Let Sheriff Joe build a tent city on the South Lawn....
The Commie pink fag is total fail.
Democrat Operative Donna Brazil admitted that George Bush did a good job on Katrina.
Democrat Governor Blanco of Louisiana decided not to seek another term because she knew she was toast.
Democrat Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin has gone to prison on corruption charges.
Like 0barry is to send down a bunch of trailers? Or only bus those illegals in air conditioned comfortable buses instead of school buses?
What part of fundamental transformation do Americans not understand?
Not like we had no warning.
Who is organizing all of these people getting into the country? Planes of people? Buses of people? Someone is organizing all of this. The media should try to get to the bottom of this. All of these scandals lead to the white house and this one is no different.
Do they keep forgetting that we have basements, cabinets, safes and chests full of guns and ammo? That most veterans, hunters, sportsmen, preppers, competition shooters and outdoorsmen are over here on this side? Are they suicidal? Admiral Yamamoto, whether he really said that or not, had it right.
ironic as i was thinking this exact same thing yesterday- remembering how they crucified GWB over Katrina and wondering if the criminal liberal media will do the same as the imperial president attends fundraisers in Texas...
It’s Obama’s “Mariel”.
Unlike Obama, Bush did not fight against state and local govt.
You have a future in stand-up comedy.
Did Bush create Katrina?
Ask Kayne West. I was in the middle of Katrina, so I didn’t get to watch all the TV coverage of it.
The list of the misinterpretation is as long as the "Bush's Fault" chronicles.
Bush was not told Katrina was coming months in advance.
Bush didn’t control the hurricane, doofus!
The Katrina moment was a smear campaign orchestrated by the MSM to trash Bush.
The border crisis is an attempt by the marxists-in-chief to have the hordes of poor people overwhelm our country.
He thought he was creating a border crisis to gin up public opinion and force the republicans to accept his "comprehensive" amnesty program.
This fool may have just torched the country. Or maybe that was the plan all along.
Katrina was an act of nature. This invasion is an act of Obama.
He’s an idiot. Katrina was on the mayor and governor. This is directly on the Hero of Benghazi.
You are correct doofus!!! .. it was Karl Rove that magnificent bastard
Katrina wasn’t even a Katrina moment.
His entire Presidency has been a string of Katrina Moments, reeking of self destructive incompetence.
This is far beyond Katrina.
Hussein’s (or should we call him “Who’s son?”)—His Katrina moment was the Gulf Oil Spill. His incompetence was painfully evident, along with his contempt for the people affected.
“Obamas Katrina moment”
But, there are so many.
If only Barack Obama had caused this border “crisis” the same way Bush caused Katrina with his Weather Machine...
Always a good idea to defer to the “experts”.
He is looking forward to his 72 virgins, and not a free and strong United States of America.
Of course it’s been organized. Lap lap lap—by USA Today, AP, New York Times. Katrina was a hurricane, not an organized invasion. WSJ doing contortionist routines to avoid condemning this. Maybe they think it will help rich businesspeople eventually.
That’s a better comparison than Katrina. Those Cubans enriched our nation, however, even if there were prisoners and mental patients among them.
