Boom! More Breaking: More Evidence of Illegal 'Cash for Vote' Operation by Cochran Campaign Piles Up
Got News ^ | 7/7/14 | Charles C. Johnson

Posted on 07/07/2014 7:02:37 PM PDT by gwgn02

Cochran campaign staffer Amanda Shook was illegally reimbursed for over $40,000 cash in walking around money during the Republican primary, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. The payments are described as "Reimbursed Expenses - Campaign Walkers." Regulation 11 CFR 116.5 expressly defines funds advanced by campaign staff for any reason other than travel or subsistence as a loan. It is illegal under FEC rules to loan money to a campaign in excess of the contribution limit of $2,600. "[I]f your loan exceeds the limits, it is an illegal contribution, even if it is later repaid in full," notes the FEC website.

Shook was previously alleged to be one of the sources of street cash in an alleged vote-buying operation in a Gotnews.com report from the Reverend Stevie Fielder.

Shook is Director of Operations for the Thad Cochran campaign, where she works for campaign manager Kirk Sims, who was also mentioned by Fielder as someone he worked with on the Cochran campaign. Shook previously worked for Sims in the office of Governor Phil Bryant, where Sims was the governor's chief of staff and Shook was his scheduler. Sims is U.S. Senator Roger Wicker's son-in-law.

FEC reports list seven payments by Citizens for Cochran, the candidate's official campaign committee, to Shook totaling $52,625. The bulk of these payments describe the purpose of the disbursement as "Reimbursed Expenses - Campaign Walkers." It is unclear how 27 year-old Shook acquired such large sums of cash for the initial outlays. Requests for comment from Shook went unanswered at the time of this writing.

Yep. And McConnell isn't a sure thing in his general election.

I wouldn't mind that liberal republican not getting elected.

Let's not forget McConnell's has got his hands in this tar baby too.

It might kill to birds with one scandal.

The GOP establishment has egg allover it's face. This may be the beginning of the end of the establishment republicans.

If Mitt Romney had contested all the vote fraud in 2012 it would be President Romney and not obama and out country would be on a road to financial recovery.

"It would seem that Cochran is suffering the death of a thousand cuts"

I guess that would be true if you think Charles C. Johnson is credible. Or, if you think that the McDaniel campaign has the authority to declare ballots fraudulent.

Why no, I’m not.

And unlike you, I’m also not an Obama-enabler.

Yep. You are a liberal republican supporter, anything for the (R). The ones that support amnesty and abortion, too.

Not true. I didn't vote for any presidential candidate that supported abortion, gun control, or amnesty.

Daffy wasn't on my ballot.

No grief from me! When I start hearing that stuff, then I KNOW I’m doing the right thing! Let (R) and (D) split the left between ‘em!

This is a useless exercise. ... I hope I am wrong....

No you don't. You carpet bomb all these threads with your nose-picking negativity, and no one who can read really gives a damn about anything you post.

Your multiple pathological attempts to demoralize will fail.

Most knowledgeable posters who are actually involved on the front lines of these battles refuse to contemplate topics from your point of view.

Those procto-perspective packers over at DU must miss you.

I'd say don't let the door hit you in the backside, but maybe I should just tell you not to bump your head.

voting for him is like giving a meth head money..

Do what you want with your vote, but rewarding him with your vote after the crap he pulled is something I would NOT be willing to do myself if I where in your shoes.
