I haven’t read comments here, yet, but I want to give mine.
Driver licenses are issued as a privilege by States, if the applicants can meet certain prerequisites like written and actual driving tests. Most States also require a driver to have proof of liability insurance.
In Texas, if someone cancels their liability insurance, the Insurer sends notice to the State Dept. of Motor Vehicles and a warrant is issued for the driver. How many have been killed or maimed by DUI illegals with no license and no liability insurance?
The privilege of having a driver license is in the purvue of the States; not the Federal government/judicial system.
Thus making Arizona licenses unusable for TSA screening?

If some States like AZ are eventually forced to give DLs to illegals, the licenses should have a broad diagonal strip across a portion of the photo and the length of the license indicating the individual is a foreign citizen (thus unable to vote).
I’m in Texas. My DL was due to expire 22 Aug 2014. I received a card from the Dept. of Public Safety in April advising me I could renew online up to 6 months early.
On 4 May, I renewed and paid the $25 fee via plastic. I received my new card a week later in the mail. I’m now good until August 2020. Hope I live to renew again (I’m almost 72)!
