I personally think this is deliberate to hurt the reputation of the United States. If we abandon them, who can trust us?
I know people in Central and South America who think the USA has gone crazy and are afraid and sad.
The US under Obastard does not look out for its own citizens, let alone its former friends and allies.

Being allied with America is not a smart move in that part of the world. You ultimately get screwed over. Ask the doctor in Pakistan how helping the Americans get OBL worked out for him. When you no longer serve this country’s you’re tossed to the wolves.

The worst was after the Cold War; all of the military strongmen we supported (to suppress communism or Soviet influence in their home countries) were abandoned - and in some cases, prosecuted.
Saddam and Noriega are the first to come to mind.
As a former interpreter (Italian French English) for the federal government (FBI, US Federal Court System, other agencies), I can say this with certainty: At some point, no GOOD interpreter will be willing to work for the US Government. At that point, many who come forward will be suspect. Since there will be great need, some from this pool will be hired, and then enter into “the system”.
At that point, the enemy will have infiltrated us, and will take over our interpreter system. That will be the end.
Get to mexico and join the line!
