How are they able to pay so much starting out? I thought they were union but there has to be a reason they are able to pull it off.
I know Aldi pays well starting out (for retail) but there is an obvious reason: less people working harder.
The founder, (I didn’t care enough to remember his name or even look it up) only makes around $300,000-$600,000 a year. IIRC, Costco workers get full benefits and an average of $22/hour. The guy even supposedly answers the phone personally when you contact Costco’s headquarters.
Aldi is awesome. The checkers are so fast, you have to race to get your money out of your wallet before they are finished your order.
