Democrat hopes immigration crisis isn’t “Obama’s Katrina moment”

George W. Bush was widely criticized for his administration’s response to Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005. Among other things, Bush was slammed for praising then-FEMA director Michael Brown by saying “Brownie, you’re doing a heckuva job” and for a photograph taken from Air Force One in which he was seen peering at the wreckage.

This is way worse than Katrina. Katrina was an act of nature, this foreign invasion is an act of Obama.

Obama still has the advantage of a sycophantic (psychopathic?) mainstream media. Bush got all the blame for what happened in New Orleans after Katrina, but the corrupt mayor, *Ray Nagin, was much more at fault. And Gov. Kathleen Blanco did little to mitigate the aftermath of the disaster.

*In 2014 Nagin was convicted of 20 out of 21 charges of wire fraud, bribery, and money laundering related to bribes from city contractors before and after Hurricane Katrina.—Wikipedia

The reaction of the media and liberals to Katrina was completely manufactured outrage, also.

Even before Katrina hit the coast, Bush signed off on Louisiana being a disaster area. We knew it would be bad. The lack of preparation, failure of levees, failure to deploy school buses to evacuate people, etc. all should be blamed on good Democrats, Kathy Blanco, governor at the time, and Ray Nagin, mayor of chocolate city at the time. Yet those local Democrats get no blame for some reason. Everything was blamed on Bush and Republicans.

Katrina was a natural disaster. The invasion is man made by Obama on purpose.

But slowly, Obama is even losing the “sycophantic (psychopathic?) mainstream media” over this.

This is the media justifying Obama by saying "well Bush had problems too".

There is no comparison. This is beyond Bush, beyond Nixon, beyond anything that ever happened in the country.

We have a rogue government in Washington that is purposely destroying the country. And everybody is making excuses for them. The pundits are saying "they just don't understand why Obama is doing what he is doing, doesn't he realize he is damaging the country?"

They refuse to believe what is obviously happening right before their eyes.

Exactly. In spite of the looney left’s belief, Bush didn’t create Katrina. This crises is all Barry’s doing.

HUGE difference between the two events. Bush knew Katrina was a Cat 5 monster and said, "get out."

All evidence shows Obama was aware of this impending situation months ago, may have encouraged it, and says "come on in."

Obama's Immigration Creed:

'Neither Congress nor Laws nor Protesters nor Outrage of Taxpaying Americans stays these new Democrat voters from the swift completion of their appointed takeover.'

George Bush was attacked relentlessly by the MSM for the incompetence of the New Orleans City government during Katrina.

Katrina hit Mississippi directly. New Orleans was in path of the outer parts of the storm and endured a lesser effect.

Bush did all he could to help the residents.

The New Orleans government and Mayor Nagin refused to maintain the levees, refused to evacuate and totally screwed up the aftermath of the storm.

The MSM refused to tell the truth and just repeated over and over that everything was Bush's fault.

The refusal to secure the border is a deliberate policy of the Obama Administration and he has prevented the states and localities from acting to alleviate the problem.

And, of course, no one in the MSM is accurately reporting Obama’s role in the crisis.

Funny you say that..they opened a Whole Foods close to home not too long ago so I went to check it out. There were 3 Sierra Club types standing at the entrance, harassing people as the entered/exited the store. Even though I told one hippie looking guy that I was in a hurry, he practically followed me to my car. Climate change is their religion..fanatical to say the least.
